Magnificent set of 19th century Thuringian porcelain figurines. Depicts a family of pug dogs, with gilt belted collars. Each pug dog is exceptionally carved and hand painted to look as realistic as possible. With incredible multi-hued brown fur, each pug dog wears a vibrant blue collar with 24 KT gold bells.
These are pieces for the discerning collector. Of great artistic value, highly sought after in today's world of collecting and design.

An enormous value is given to this type of pieces, due to the quality of the material used. They were used exclusively by the nobility and royalty. Meissen porcelain was commissioned, among others, by the Russian, French and English royalty, as well as by other noble houses of European countries. In this simple way, porcelain from Meissen, Thuringia, Saxony, etc. was distributed to different collections. When the wealthy classes of the United States began to emerge. The condition is very good for its use and time, except for a small dog that has a broken tail and a rattle on the collar, the rest is very good, with no faults.
