Hand-painted ceramic sculpture, Bust of a child. Antonio RONZAN. ORIGIN Italy PERIOD 1940s AUTHOR The ceramist Antonio RONZAN was born in Nove di Bassano on 4 July 1914. He worked for the Turin ceramic factory 'Lenci', together with his brothers Giuseppe, Giovanni and his sister Tina from 1937 until 1939. After leaving 'Lenci' company in 1939, Antonio and his brothers Giovanni and Tina joined their brother Giuseppe in the 'Ronzan' ceramic factory based in Turin, via Guido Reni 80/17, which he had created over a year earlier. He was recalled during the war and upon his return he joined his brother Giovanni who in the meantime had moved production to Bassano. Subsequently his brother Giovanni left Bassano and returned to Turin where he founded another factory which he left to Antonio in 1968. In 1985 Antonio died and left the business to his children Giuditta and Pietro who continued production under the name 'Ceramics of Religious Art by Ronzan P. & G.' until 2001. Il travaille pour l'usine de céramique turinoise "Lenci", avec ses frères Giuseppe, Giovanni et sa sœur Tina, de 1937 à 1939. Après avoir quitté la société "Lenci" en 1939, Antonio et ses frères Giovanni et Tina ont rejoint leur frère Giuseppe dans l'usine de céramique "Ronzan" située à Turin, via Guido Reni 80/17, qu'il avait créée plus d'un an auparavant. Il est rappelé pendant la guerre et, à son retour, il rejoint son frère Giovanni qui, entre-temps, a transféré la production à Bassano. Par la suite, son frère Giovanni quitte Bassano et retourne à Turin où il fonde une autre usine qu'il laisse à Antonio en 1968. En 1985, Antonio meurt et laisse l'entreprise à ses enfants Giuditta et Pietro qui poursuivent la production sous le nom de "Ceramics of Religious Art by Ronzan P. & G." jusqu'en 2001.
